Systems Administration and Hardware
We provide help on a variety of systems, including Linux (and other unix alike OS's), Windows Server NT/2K/2K3, and Mac OS X. Examples of what we can provide include:
- Complete set up of virtual mail system on Linux, with web administration panel for configuration of users and domains. Includes virus checking and spam filtering
- Configuration of software and hardware RAID(0/1/5 etc) on Linux and Windows, including encryption, hotplugging, backups, S.M.A.R.T monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Setup and configuration of web hosting environments, with apache/php/mysql, flexible virtual host configuration with macros, and statistical analysis for logfiles.
- Networking and security help, including configuration of routers/firewalls, and help with software level security on servers (such as iptable based firewalls, and hardening software/daemon configurations for example by utilising unprivileged users, and chroot environments)
Database Development and Support
We can support and enhance your database system and software. We have experience with various SQL based database systems (Such as MSSQL and MySQL), as well as helping migrate data from bespoke custom storage to more flexible modern relational databases.
